Handmade Wooden Spatula

Made one at a time from beautiful pieces of Australian and reclaimed timber, each spatula has its own grain, colour and character.

Shaped and finished by hand in South Gippsland, with smooth rounded edges, a hanging hole, small metal inlay detail and my hand-burned maker's mark.

Timbers vary and include red gum, yellow stringybark and Victorian ash, along with other salvaged and reclaimed woods. No two are quite alike, choose your favourite from the available spatulas. The photographs show the actual piece you will receive.

Finish
Finished with a hard burnishing wax, then rubbed again with beeswax and walnut oil. All finishes are food-safe.

Care
Hand wash in warm water and dry after use. Don't soak or put in the dishwasher. An occasional rub with a food-safe wood oil or beeswax will keep the timber looking beautiful.

For later
Your spatula comes with a little pot of homemade spoon balm, for giving the timber an occasional rub when it starts looking thirsty. A tiny bit goes a long way.
